In-Store Collection ONLEY
Gas discharge tube filled with low pressure hydrogen. Shows hydrogen’s emission spectrum when ionized by a power source such as an Elenco STPS-1 Spectrum Tube Power Supply, a plasma ball, or albeit much fainter, the static charge that can sometimes come off of bubble wrap! When the emission spectrum is viewed thru a spectrometer in a dark room, one can observe the spectral lines characteristic of hydrogen.
The glass tube is 25 cm long with the capillary portion about 10 cm long. An electrode is sealed in each end and attached to a metal end cap with a loop for convenient hookup to wire connections.
